    ) =>

    Type Declaration

      • (
            path: any,
            opts: any,
        ):
            | {
                explicitPolicy: boolean;
                ok: boolean;
                userConstrainedPolicySet: any[];
                why: any;
            }
            | {
                explicitPolicy: boolean;
                ok: boolean;
                userConstrainedPolicySet: any;
                why: string;
            }
      • Runs RFC 5280 section 6.1's certificate policy processing over a path.

        With the defaults (initial-policy-set anyPolicy, the three indicators clear) a path is refused only where its own certificates require an explicit policy and the tree came out empty, or a mapping names anyPolicy.

        Parameters

        • path: any

          the path, leaf first and anchor last (the anchor is not processed)

        • opts: any

          the four section 6.1 inputs a caller may set

        Returns
            | {
                explicitPolicy: boolean;
                ok: boolean;
                userConstrainedPolicySet: any[];
                why: any;
            }
            | {
                explicitPolicy: boolean;
                ok: boolean;
                userConstrainedPolicySet: any;
                why: string;
            }

        { ok, why, userConstrainedPolicySet, explicitPolicy }
