Type Declaration

- (pem: string, candidates?: Candidate[]): Promise<PathResult>
- Walks the path from a certificate up to a self-signed one over the candidates given.
  
  At each hop a candidate is taken only when its key verifies the signature, not merely because its subject matches.
  Parameters
  - pem: string
    the certificate
  - Optionalcandidates: Candidate[]
    the certificates the path may use, as PEM strings or objects carrying pem
  Returns Promise<PathResult>
  a promise of the path and its status (complete, incomplete, unverified or too-deep) with the reason
